  Parenthetically SpeakingI recently learned something that solved a mystery that had bugged me since childhood — why, when I looked at an analog clock, the hand would sometimes seem to take a couple seconds to start ticking. Google stopped clock illusion.

I was hired as a QC Lab Tech by a paint company because I had excellent Color shade difference recognition and then an old time paint tinter taught me how to recognize what was needed to bring a paint batch onto color. You learn to see whats "not enough" of, Not what it appears to have too much of. Of course too, he taught me how to see how much colorant was needed quantitatively too. I use to shade 4000 gallon batches by eye alone.
