DNA Blueprints Guide The Construction Of Specific Human Structures
Chad Mirkin discusses using DNA to build a three-dimensional structure out of gold, likening the process to building a house. Starting with basic materials such as bricks, wood, siding, stone and shingles, a construction team can build many different types of houses out of the same building blocks.

Beloved friend of the community succumbs to leukemia
Washington, DC, USA. Cheryl Ann Spector passed away on the morning of 4 September 2007 after a 10 week battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). Spector was well-known in the Washington, DC area for her dedication to Gay and Lesbian causes. She was a strong supporter of both transgender and transsexual rights.
Planning for a memorial service at the end of the month are underway and TS-Si.org will post update as details become available.
The Rainbow History website will have a memorial page and invites participation from the community.
