Fairfax, VA, USA. Effective today, TS-Si is a closely-held enterprise that directly implements the professional priorities of its founders, Lisa Jain Thompson and Sharon Sinead Gaughan. TS-Si and TS-Si.org still exist, but reorganized to better allocate time and resources to fulfilling our now restated and further clarified mission.
TS-Si is dedicated to the acceptance, medical treatment, and legal protection of individuals correcting the misalignment of their brains and their anatomical sex, while supporting their transition into society as hormonally reconstituted and surgically corrected citizens.
After 10 years of existence, we have moved beyond our organizational origins as a non-profit corporation. Those years, and the many years of individual exertion before that, have been productive, but now we must tighten our focus on the opportunities for further progress and realistically address how we can best contribute in the future.

Fairfax, VA, USA. The grave of Stella Walsh lies at Calvary Cemetery outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Walsh was a two time Olympic medalist in the 1930s while running for her native Poland, winning the 100 meter gold in 1932 and a silver in 1936 at Adolf Hitler’s Berlin Olympics. After she become a U. S. citizen in 1947, Stella married and lived with her husband in a modest, middle class home in Cleveland.

Washington, DC, USA. The alarm goes off at five in the morning, we are due at the festival at eight where we will assemble our booth, put up banners and signs, place handouts strategically to be distributed.
The rain the night before prevented us from loading the car, so we spend an hour or so demonstrating how much stuff can fit in an aging Buick. We bring everything we have we think we’ll need, only enough to fill up the day so that the trip back will be somewhat lighter.
