Towson, Maryland, USA. John Money, Ph.D., died on Friday. A psychologist and sexologist who performed early investigations into sexual identity, gender identity, and gender roles, died a day before his 85th birthday at St. Joseph Medical Center of complications from Parkinson's disease.
 
Money most recently was a professor emeritus of pediatrics and medical psychology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
 
Family and friends are planning a memorial service for September. Dr. Money made arrangements to have his body donated to the Maryland Anatomy Board.
