<description>I too selected my minor in Psychology/Sociology and ended up using that to get a great job with the Dept. of Social Services. NOT!!!! I hated that job and ran as far as I could when given the opportunity to find my niche in another profession guided by my grandfather who I suppose thought he was being helpful.

You make very interesting points, Lisa. If we did not have the answers for ourselves then how might we have been able to convey our most inner needs and thoughts to a stranger no matter what diplomas might be hanging on his wall?

Thankfully I only had Dr Benjamin and Dr Ihlenfeld as inquisitors but they knew me for what I really was and not a mimic who learned her answers from a library shelf or a tabloid. Internet was a dream then just as my need for a future free of fracture was also a dream. But, unlike the makers of any and all excuses I finally fulfilled my traceable childhood dream to this life of reality that I now find so very much satisfying and complete.
