Marge, The real problem is that Obama has offered nothing in the way of "hope" to "rescue" this country other than a continual rant about being for "change"; Change WHAT ? Change HOW? SOrry, no details just "change" and liberal socialist policies that will require enough money to assur this country never gets out of debt and that you and your children will be in servitude to the government forever with increased taxes. Th Federal Government has NO MONEY other than what they steal from you by force of arms. Tax the Oil companies with all those big profits?; I've got news for you, the Government makes more from a gallon of gasoline that the oil companies do and do please keep in mind that the oil companies pay dividens to stockholders and many of those are investment funds for unions, government workers and other private citizens; tax those profits away and the dividens will drop, plus the price of gasoline and other petroleum products will increase because the taxes will get passed along down to the consumer. As I said else where, a koolaid drinker reveals himself with his words and here we have john S. as a prime example. I think this does accurately portray Obama's elitest attitudes about the mainstream Americans. The rest of his campaign has been about "change" with very little substance about what changes, ther is no experience and then he mkes all the usual political promises about the government is going to do everyhing for you and we will tax the "rich" to pay for it. I bet he has HIS income well protected from paying taxes and takes advantag of every little loophole and rat hole he can. I'm not that much in favor of McCain either and I seriously think all ballots need a category "NONE OF THE ABOVE" and that all political offices should have a term limit; 6 years for the Senate, 4 years for the House and NO pension plan other than Social Security; also tie the salary of ALL Congressmen to the national debt; when it goes up, their pay goes down by the same percentage.
